Kiw spotted at Port William hut and North Arm hut during the Rakiura Great Walk
Kiwi spotted 5 min south of the North Arm Hut during the Great Walk- he was hding in the bushes (but I saw him!) 8.15am
One kiwi spotted on Ulva Island on the blue track betweenPost Office Bay and the four way crossing 3.05pm
I went up to the football field via the bush track and then went on to the football field. Then I stood by the goal post for 30 minutes and could hear noises in the bush. Walking back one ran up behind me so I had my camera and took 2 photos and I was very happy with this result. 9.15pm
Saw 1 kiwion the road by the turn off to the sewerage ponds on Back Road, walked down to the gate and saw another one; he came right up to us! Saw another one a bit further down the road on the way to Hicks Road
3.30pm Saw 1 kiwi on the Rakiura Track on our way to North Arm from Fern Gully
Kiwi Spotting with Bravo Adventures. 2 kiwis seen straight away running into the bush; they weren't going in there to eat! 1 male feeding then another girl feeding. Saw the male again on the way back down Ocean Beach. 7-8pm. Great tour and heaps of knowledge gained from Philip and Greg our guides!
8.9.15 Between Bungaree Hut and Christmas Village Hut, we watched for 25min looking for food and walking around the bush. Kiwi was 2m away from us, great day!
10.9.15 Long Harry Hut in the morning! 2 kiwis around the hut fighting and chasing each other. 2hr later 1 kiwi was looking for food around the hut
10.9.15 1 kiwi between Long Harry Hut and East Ruggedy hut we watched for 10min. Kiwi was 50cm away from me when he realised there was something, very nice moment
